Three Calls

Calling your members of Congress is the best way to make your voice heard.

When you call their office, Congressional staffers take a tally. The tallies let your Congressperson know how strongly their constituents feel about an issue.  Your call is most effective when you are their constituent, that means you are part of the community they represent.

Every person has three Congresspeople they should be calling: two Senators and one Representative.

If you know the names of your (one) Representative and (two) Senators, you can call the Capitol Switchboard.
Let the operator know you are a constituent and ask to be transferred.
